Sight and Sound of Stevenage - Summer Street Festival

Head in to Stevenage town centre on Saturday 20 July to enjoy the sights and sounds of Stevenage’s summer street festival, between 10am and 5pm.

There’s a whole host of exciting entertainment lined up throughout the day, including live music on stage in Town Square from local bands The Trouble with Tuesday and Allergy, the talented Roxy Searle, who’s really making a name for herself in Stevenage, plus we welcome back the amazing Suki and Zorro Street Dancers. There’s also an appearance from those cute cheerleaders from Camps Hill School.

Off stage, we are expecting big crowds to gather to marvel at the skill of Covent Garden street performers Rob Roy Collins, one of the UK’s leading escape artists and a Guinness World Record holder. Rob’s daredevil stunts have included escaping upside down from straight jackets, chains, ropes and handcuffs. Audiences can also enjoy the comedic antics of one of Australia’s cheekiest chaps. The Brucie Show brings magic and mayhem to delight and enthral shoppers.

Head down towards Barclays Bank in the Forum for more great entertainment throughout the day. Britain’s Got Talent live-finalists from 2009 “Faces of Disco” will wow audiences with their high energy, unique comedy act which has become a worldwide phenomenon and the talented “Just Sing” and “Thomas Alleyne” choirs will be entertaining shoppers with some great tunes.
Check out the town centre’s website for a list of performance times to make sure you don’t miss out on the fun.

And, if that’s not enough to bring you in to the town, there will also be a number of craft stalls and food vendors along Queensway and Town Square offering a wide range of goods from local businesses, face painting, cake-decorating with Nadina from Wish-Upon-A-Cake, funfair rides, children's play area, giveaways and balloons. We look forward to seeing you there!
