Textile project in Queensgate Market

Join Textile Artist, Nicola Twynham in a day of participatory weaving for all abilities and ages!

Nicola has created a very large mobile weaving frame that she will demonstrate techniques on and encourage visitors to participate with to help her to create some Huddersfield Weavings in celebration of the current textile industry in Huddersfield. Visitors are also encouraged to chat and write about textile associated memories, stories and thoughts that they have as Nicola works to highlight the importance of this industry to Huddersfield and asks how this could be represented more in the town. Nicola will also have small circle weaving packs that participants can take away or complete to add to the circle curtain.
