Refugees in Empire: Holocaust refugees in British India
7pm GMT
How did Jewish refugees carve themselves a place in British Indian society, and how did that society view them?
This free 1hr online talk will explore how the British Empire had its own role in refugee experiences, specifically in its operations in British India. Join us and our guest speaker Pragya Kaul from the University of Michigan to look at photographs of people making a new life in an unfamiliar place, and how the places they lived categorised them.
