Piano duo 4Hands (Elie Fruchter and Lona Kozik) present an evening of works for two pianos by the composer Francis Poulenc and other members of the French group of composers known as Les Six. The programme is bookended by the playful and capricious two pianos concerto and the later, bittersweet two pianos sonata of Poulenc. Other works will include the Braziliana-infused Le Boeuf sur le Toit, by Darius Milhaud, and Jeux de Plein Air by recent Radio 3 composer-of-the-week, Germaine Tailleferre. Come and enjoy the joie de vivre of the early 20th-century avant-garde in Paris.
