An entertainingly rich multimedia concert, mixing 20th century classics and contemporary music. The concert includes Japanese haiku, Takemitsu and Messiaen, Piazzolla, John Cage and brand new work, created collaboratively.

Mira Calix is an award-winning composer, artist and performer, signed to Warp Records, on which she has released five albums. Mira has been commissioned to write for Ensemble 10/10, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Aldeburgh Festival, Bang On A Can, London Sinfonietta, Opera North and The Manchester International Festival. Mira regularly performs live, touring internationally. The scope of her work has taken her to a diverse range of festivals and venues, from Sonar, Transmediale and Latitude, to the Royal Festival Hall, Mariinsky and Lincoln Center.

Kathy Hinde has made work for concert halls, theatres and galleries, alongside site specific work for outdoor locations and unusual indoor spaces. She has shown work across Europe, Scandinavia, China, Pakistan, USA, Colombia and Brazil. She has a passion for creating work that connects with the natural world, and tries to reveal the often-overlooked poetic qualities and rhythms of the everyday. Based in Bristol, Kathy is an associate Artist with Cryptic in Glasgow, and associated with the Pervasive Media Studio at the Watershed, Bristol.
