Shakespeare Evening

Shakespeare Evening

7pm
Tickets, £45 per person

A delicious three-course meal, music and an expert talk exploring Shakespeare's cultural legacy; looking at Shakespeare as a phenomenon and why after so long Shakespeare still seems relevant to us – all in the unique setting of Dartington’s Great Hall! It’s an opportunity not to be missed. Please visit talkingformydinner.vpweb.co.uk for more information.

Speaker Amelia Marriette did her MA at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon and worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company as a curator and lecturer. She presents Riviera FM’s award-winning Amelia’s Culture Show on Wednesday evenings at 6pm and was also a Board member for Soundart Radio.

Her talk was commissioned by the Devon Guild of Craftsmen to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth. It was given to a sold-out audience in March.

Before the talk, enjoy a three-course dinner and Elizabethan music in the Great Hall. Arrive at 6.30pm to mingle. Dinner is served at 7pm. Tickets are £45 and must be purchased in advance. Please contact the Dartington Hall box office on 01803 847070 or ShakespeareTodayTalk@gmail.com.

This talk is being held as a fundraising event for Soundart Radio, a community and arts radio station broadcasting on 102.5 FM from the Dartington Estate. www.soundartradio.org.uk
