Space, a hub for the arts community

Space, a hub for the arts community

Space, our hub for the arts community, provides facilities and infrastructure to support a wide range of residencies, artists and makers.

The Studio suit includes:

• Dance studio
• Flexible performance / studio theatre space
• Black box studio
• Live music studio
• Production office / meeting spaces
• ‘Wet’ studio for making

We are also able offer other, more unusual spaces across the estate, where artists can benefit from the environment and tranquillity of our gardens, through our ‘Messy Spaces’ scheme. What these spaces lack in utilities they make up for in character and provide unique studio spaces on the stunning Dartington Hall Estate. Please click here for more details

Alongside this, Dartington is able to provide a range of living alternatives on the estate, from affordable basic accommodation to bespoke hotel residencies, all within 100 yards of the Studios.

The Arts at Dartington strive to be a fully inclusive organisation of artists working in the full range of visual arts disciplines. We are committed to providing opportunities for artists to make quality work, create innovative projects, exhibitions and carry out commissions, residencies and workshops.

Accessibility at Space
Space offers exemplary access, enabling all to participate. With all floors and studios fully accessible, automatic doors, a lift, accessible toilets and special parking facilities, Space can provide a unique opportunity for artists who may otherwise find more traditional spaces difficult to negotiate.
