Tackling Graffiti in the Bay - A creative approach!
This project was based on a restorative approach which encourages young people to take responsibility for their actions by undertaking an activity that benefits the wider community. To dispel some of the negative feeling the YOT are working hard to tackle graffiti abuse within Torbay. It is hoped by encouraging young people to be creative in a positive way will combat some of the problems we have been experiencing with criminal damage caused by unsightly graffitti abuse. In total 6 young people contributed to the project and the final session involves a clean up to remove negative graffitti. We then hope to install some more legal boards for young people to use in Victoria Skate Park.
